What Our Guests Say
We are an older motel in the woods of New Hampshire — 0.2 miles from Pats Peak Ski Area, closest lodging to New England College, with an indoor heated pool and a fireplace lounge. We are not for everyone. But for the guests who find us, we tend to become a tradition.
These are their words, not ours. Collected from Google, Expedia, and Hotels.com — May 2024 through May 2026.

SKIING & PATS PEAK
“We parked outside our room, got dressed to ski, and walked to the chairlift. You cannot beat the location. After a day of skiing, the indoor heated pool was awesome for our family. We ordered pizza from Western Ave pizzeria and Tim offered plates, napkins and utensils and showed us how the coffee tables lifted so we could sit on the comfy couches and eat by the fire. We will definitely be back next school vacation week.”
— Lindsay H., Google Review, February 2024
“Easily walk to Pat’s Peak for a day on the slopes! Older property and thin walls, but we had a comfortable stay and the staff was super friendly!”
— Hyun C., Hotels.com, March 2026
“We had a fantastic time slope-side at this cute throw back motel! The beds were comfy and the rooms were clean. You can walk right over to the Pat’s Peak base-lodge and pub. This is the way to go if you’re skiing at Pat’s Peak.”
— Martha C., Google Review, February 2026
“Great little place right next to Pats Peak. Clean, very warm rooms, quiet and peaceful. We had an amazing time. We’ll definitely be back.”
— Inna D., Google Review, January 2025
“The hotel was great. It was perfect for how close it was to the ski lifts! And there was coffee.”

FAMILIES & TRADITIONS
“This place is awesome. Walls are a little thin but we travel with a sound machine and it drowned everything out perfectly. Everyone I spoke to or met — they were all the kindest and most genuine people I may have ever met. Thank you for such a great ski weekend for me and my daughter. It appears the Henniker Motel and Pats Peak weekend just became a yearly tradition.”
— Zac B., Google Review, February 2026
“We had such a great time. It was our first time there but they made us feel like we were right at home. Rooms are very clean and cozy. Pool was great and the common room with the fireplace and lots of cozy seating was awesome. We brought cards and played a couple rounds by the fireplace. It will definitely be a new yearly family tradition for us!”
— Siobhan T., Google Review, February 2024
“Our family had a great stay. What stood out most was the incredible manager. Every interaction was positive — helpful recommendations, quick responses, and warm smiles throughout our stay. It’s clear Tim takes pride in the motel and making guests feel special. We stayed and skied next door at Pats Peak. The location could not have been more convenient. The fire at night in the cozy common room was perfect. We stayed here 30 years ago and it was our first time back. Highly recommend.”
— Julie S., Expedia, January 2026
“Had a 2-day stay for my daughter’s graduation — it’s the third time I have stayed there. Very close to New England College.”
— Lisa G., Google Review, May 2023

THE STAFF — TINA & TIM
“I called to make a reservation and spoke with Tina, who was so friendly and personable. The room was spotless and the mini fridge was quite large. Their prices are reasonable and I plan on going back again. You made Tina’s day with your comment.”
— Andrea S., Google Review, March 2026

— Aditya K., Expedia, September 2025
“The owner is amazing and treats you like family the minute you walk in. (Thanks again for the coffee filters!) We’ll be back!! Don’t pay attention to the bad reviews about a spider web and the dirt road — you’re in the woods, people!!!”
— Patrice C., Google Review, January 2026
